Omega-3 fatty acids are considered essential fatty acids (EFAs). They are necessary for health but the body can’t make them, therefore, they have to be provided by the diet. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are both omega-3 fatty acids and oily fish and fish oil provide a very good source.

This table is intended as a guide only and exact feeding amounts should be varied according to your dog's age, sex, breed, condition and activity levels. Please note that feeding amounts should be based on the ideal adult body weight for your dog. Adult dogs should be fed twice per day. When introducing VetSpec into your dog's diet we advise that this is done gradually over a period of 5-10 days until it replaces all other food. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
