Missy Wins VetSpec Dog of the Year’ Competition!

11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Mischief, or ‘Missy’ as she is more often known, has been crowned ‘VetSpec Dog of The Year’ in a national photograph competition run on Facebook.

After winning ‘VetSpec Dog of The Month,’ Missy went forward into a national final and was voted the overall winner by followers online to take the annual title.

Said Missy’s delighted owner, Jen Poulton-Dean from Somerset, “I am thrilled that Missy has won this competition. She will be 12 on 4th May and I have had her since she was a nine-week-old puppy. She used to be my partner in crime when I was a freelance equine groom, coming everywhere with me and thinking that anywhere we went was her own personal land – a typical Jack Russell Terrier!”

“We now both lead quieter lives. I work in an office and had a baby daughter seven months ago so Missy has taken on the role of stay-at-home nanny to Florrie, a job that she’s not overly sure about!”

“Missy enjoys living in the Somerset countryside which gives her the opportunity to be very active. She loves swimming in the summer, taking walks along the beach and, of course, sleeping in her favourite bed. She’s a massive personality and a big part of my family. She thinks she owns the world and likes to keep everyone in order if they’re getting a bit boisterous!”

Jen gives Missy VetSpec Omega-3 Joint Mobility + Gravy to help optimise her joint health and flexibility. It contains high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids along with glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and antioxidants.  When mixed with warm water, the supplement produces a delicious gravy which can be poured over your dog’s food and can help tempt the pickiest of feeders.

Said Jen’ “Missy loves the gravy and it encourages her to eat up.”

VetSpec Omega-3 Joint Mobility + Gravy is ideal for older dogs with joint disease, dogs that have had skeletal injuries, dogs recovering from orthopaedic surgery and also fit and active dogs in hard physical exercise.
